The Women's Business Exchange (WBE) was founded in 1988 to help women in Lake County, Illinois, promote their businesses in a non-competitive atmosphere and share experiences with professionals from all walks of life. We invite all interested women to contact any one of the members about category availability and details on membership.
WBE meets on the first and third Thursdays at 7:15 am in Gages Lake, Illinois.

We have availed ourselves of the services of many members of The Women’s Business Exchange and believe wholeheartedly in their vision and selection of members.
Specifically, Carol Hannigan has been instrumental in helping us understand the legal issues in real estate and estate planning. Her expertise and demeanor are very assuring to those of us who find the law intimidating. We have since moved out of her area of practice but we wish we could clone her and bring her down to the southwest with us.
Likewise, Kathy Allen is superb in financial planning. Our finances in the past few years have been complex and she adroitly navigates the tax code and financial instruments with ease. She’s a great asset to have and we have complete confidence and trust in her to guide us through the financial maze.
Marge Harris was key in helping us sell our home in this current market of upheaval and uncertainty. She nudged us in the right direction and, giving us the insight of her real estate acumen, we were able to sell our home quickly and with ease. Thank you Marge!
